30,000 visitors back us up
Barcelona has the most varied cultural offering of nearly any city on the planet. Gaudí, Picasso and Messi are just some of the names on the lips of the thousands of visitors that flock to the city every day.
But also, paella, tapas and ham. Because the city’s culinary potential has become one of its tourist attractions. And they are a must-do for any curious traveller interested in learning about authentic Mediterranean culture.
A tour to discover the secrets of Iberian ham
This is why we’ve created the first Ham Museum in the world, in Barcelona. An educational space with a gourmet spirit focusing exclusively on Iberian ham: one of the stars of Spanish culinary culture.
Our standard tour is available in two options:
· Audiovisual Tour (25 minutes)::This tour gives you the chance to discover the main elements of ham culture in a fun, dynamic way. It is perfect for those who love culinary history.
· Audiovisual Tour + Tasting (45 minutes):
: This is an extended experience, starting with the Audiovisual Tour and carrying on with a tasting of six different types of ham afterwards. Perfect for those who need a delicious practical course to soak in everything they’ve learned.
Our visitors’ opinions
We visited the museum and had a tasting, for under €20. You learn the history and how ham is made, and then get the chance to taste different types of ham. On your way out, you can pop into the restaurant (recommended) and shop on the ground floor. Delicious ham and great service.
We were there on Thursday and loved it. We went to the museum, did the tasting, visited the shop and came back for dinner. Generous portions, excellent quality and fast service. Price in line with quality and quantity. Very professional, friendly service.
